Houmoxi, located in the western suburb of Fuzhou, is about 17 km away from Fuzhou city. Most of the streams here are completely free, which is my home for stream fishing. The main fish in the stream are Xige, Langlang, Hongmao, Luo Fei, Fox Xia, Huang Xi, Dazu and so on. All of them are natural fish species, and the downstream ones are Daupei and Dazu. If you want to catch Brother Xi, you must make some efforts. You can walk along the river for about 1 hour, and you can see a series of pits and pools. The biggest pool is called round pool by the locals, which is a deep pool of crouching tiger and crouching dragon, making sure that you can catch many big brothers Xi.
Moxi, formerly known as Longxi, has a total length of 12.5 km. It originated in Gushan. Because of its rich water resources, during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, mills were everywhere beside the stream, hence the name "Moxi". The stream sometimes twists and turns and sometimes pours down. People walk on stones, and water flows along them. After crossing Moxi, a path can climb the hillside, and there is a millstone beside the stream, which used to be the place where the water truck was released. Later, a dam was built here and turned into a small reservoir. If you don't want to climb the mountain, you can catch brook fish in this small reservoir. If you are specialized in fishing, it is suggested that fishermen take the Guling shuttle bus to the dock, go downstream through the quarry and fish while walking. There are many big fish in the puddle on the mountain, and people are not so tired. Remember, don't ignore Moxi's small puddle. Brother Daxi often hides there. It is better to catch fly maggots for stream fish in Moxi.
Eel Creek, located in the eastern suburb of Fuzhou, at the foot of Guling Mountain, meanders for several miles, with two peaks in the stream and a gorge in the stream. There is a deep pool in the stream, 2 1 m wide, named Longtan. I once caught a palm-sized flowing ray with fat maggots on it in this pool.
Shibazhongxi, located in the southwest of Nantong Town, Minhou County, Fuzhou, winds northward, and eighteen tributaries rise and fall together along the way, hence its name. There are precious bitter flowers and perch in the stream, while brook carp, broad-billed lang, smooth-lipped fish and brook brother are the common fish species in the 18th heavy stream. Many Taiwan compatriots who work and study in Fuzhou like to go fishing for bitter vegetables in Shibata Chongxi during their breaks.
Panduxi, located in Pandu Township, a mountainous area in the northwest of Lianjiang, is not far from Fuzhou, about 28 kilometers away from downtown Fuzhou. This stream belongs to the upper reaches of the Aojiang River (Dai Jiang). There are mainly white snapper, yellow catfish, river catfish and carp in the stream, which belong to free fishing grounds. During the National Day, I went fishing here with my friends Xu Fei Eel and Lu Baobao by motorcycle. My colleague used dragon bait to catch yellow catfish and river catfish there. Gui Hu Creek, a tributary of Pandu Creek, is located in Gui Hu, Huanxi Town, Jin 'an District, Fuzhou, 30 kilometers away from the urban area. The total length of the stream is 5 kilometers, with beautiful mountains and rivers. The species of fish in this stream are carp, crucian carp, red cat and small boat diced, among which the number of small boat diced is the largest. It's as easy to catch a small boat with red earthworms as it is to catch gobies and tigers.
Taoyuan Creek is located in Rixi Township, the northern suburb of Fuzhou, with lush vegetation, clear streams and pleasant climate. It is a good place for tourism and leisure. The total length of Taoyuan Creek is 1 1.6 km. You must drive yourself to go fishing here. Although the journey is not far, it takes more than an hour because it is a winding mountain road, so you should pay attention to safety on the way of self-driving fishing. There are many big fish there, but it's hard to catch them. There are more big eyes in the stream than in other streams.
Juxi is located in Jukou, Tangqian Town, Shang County, Yongtai, Fuzhou, about 40 kilometers away from Fuzhou. Juxi is known as "Little Jiuzhaigou", a clear stream and dreamy blue under the shadow of blue sky and trees. Streams and bamboos are in the way, so it is difficult to see the sun at noon, which is cool and comfortable. The depth of the stream is moderate, and midsummer is a good place to catch fish, support bamboo rafts, compete for water, swim and learn to float. There are many brook fish in Juxi, and the main species are Xige and Kuankou, which means that the individuals are too small, so it is recommended to use bait to catch them easily. There are also natural carp, white crucian carp and grass carp in the stream. Fishing friend Dong Jingfeng caught two large natural carp in the stream, which was much better than that of artificial culture.
In addition, there are streams for fishing in Damuxi and Qishan National Forest Park in Minhou County, Rixi and Shoushan Stream in Jin 'an District, and Ji Yan and Qingyun Mountain in Yongtai County. Interested fishermen may wish to go fishing in Fuzhou Creek.
