After several migrations, he lived in seclusion in Zhangzhou. Later, in order to save the sufferings of the local people, he made Pien Tze Huang by using the top secret formula of the imperial court and its unique technology, but it was rejected because of a piece of it (Dai Huang is a Minnan language, meaning toxic heat swelling).
