37 years old, learned breaststroke in 5 days.
2021165438+1Wednesday, October 24th, Wan Li, Guangzhou.

I can't remember why I made up my mind to learn swimming.

Probably there was a small epidemic (COVID-19 epidemic) before the National Day, and there was no travel plan;

Maybe Wang Yuqi is going to learn freestyle during the National Day, so I have to pick him up and take him home.

Seeing that she is studying on the shore, she might as well take the opportunity to learn by herself.

I signed up for 1v2 class, 10 day, and one coach played against two students (Wang Yuqi and me).

Originally, I planned to learn freestyle directly, but I followed the coach's advice and began to learn breaststroke.

Before studying, a colleague told me that "swimming depends on epiphany", and another female colleague deeply agreed.

When I was a child, I played by the pond in the village and didn't learn to swim.

According to the coach, "although I am not afraid of water, I feel very bad about water."

At the end of the fifth day, I swam 25 meters in breaststroke, which was a preliminary study.

According to my own learning experience, I don't agree with the concept of "epiphany swimming".

The learning process can be deconstructed.

Let me recall my learning steps of breaststroke first (the coach is very professional and graduated from swimming).

Day 1 day: Learn to kick and get familiar with water.

(1) On the shore, lie on the mat and practice kicking and pinching with the teacher;

(2) Hooking the foot and stretching the calf have never been done before. Although I can understand, I can't do it well.

I have the habit of running and exercising, but I don't have the habit of stretching my legs, so my flexibility is poor;

(4) Go into the shallow pool and practice holding your breath (soaking your head in the water) and exhaling in the water (soaking your head in the water-blowing bubbles in your mouth-coming out after blowing);

⑤ Squat in the shallow pool, then push the inner wall of the pool wall, let the body float on the water for a certain distance, and stop to come out after exhaling underwater.

It's so easy, I think it's very simple and my confidence is bursting.

Ps: Looking back, I didn't learn well on the first day, so I have to learn to hold my breath and float on the water.

The next day: playing football in a shallow pool.

(1) The shore will kick, but it will definitely be incoherent (the action is a paragraph);

(2) In shallow water, grab the edge of the swimming pool with your hands and practice kicking in the water;

(3) After entering the water, completely forget to kick;

(4) The coach poked my legs and feet in the water to familiarize me with kicking and pinching;

⑤ Tie a square floating board around your waist, hold the arrow-shaped floating board with both hands, and practice kicking and clamping your legs in a shallow pool.

I practiced very hard, but the effect was not good, very poor.

Ps: Looking back, it may be better to continue to scratch the edge of the pool and practice kicking and pinching.

Day 3: Go into the deep pool and practice kicking and pinching.

① From the shallow pool (50cm) to the deep pool (140- 170cm), I felt quite nervous and scared;

② The coach went into the water and fiddled with my legs and feet to familiarize me with kicking and pinching;

(3) Tie a square floating board around your waist, hold the arrow-shaped floating board with both hands, and practice kicking and clamping your legs in a deep pool;

(4) Fear of deep pools, coupled with poor leg skills, leads to a cycle of suffocation and fear;

I choked many times. In order to avoid choking, I practiced more in 140- 150cm area.

I practiced very hard and the effect was poor. Basically didn't float, and kept choking.

Confidence is greatly reduced, which may also be due to negative emotions such as old choking and complaining.

Ps: Looking back, it is best to be familiar with the deep water area and eliminate the fear of the deep water area;

For example, after entering the deep pool, practice holding your breath into the water-floating on the water to relax your body;

For example, practice standing in deep water (the coach taught me on the fifth day later).

Day 4: Learn hand movements and go down to the deep pool to practice breaststroke.

(1) According to the coach, "the movements are very stiff and stiff", which is the kind that is very hard;

② First, tie a square floating board around your waist to practice;

3 drowning, drowning, and then drowning;

(4) Take the initiative to remove the floating board and continue to practice;

⑤ Still fluttering and drowning;

There are probably two reasons for suffocation. You can't hold your breath. You're nervous. If you push hard in the water, it will be easier to sink.

⑦ The process of choking water is probably holding your breath and lying in the water; I want to kick my leg in my mind, and then kick my leg (I can't bear to pinch my leg); At this time, first, the time is a bit long (the brain will act after thinking), and the breath can't be held back. Second, the body sinks again, and the more nervous it is, the heavier it becomes. No, no, suffocation;

Today, after choking, my hands trembled involuntarily in the water. Then take a few more sips. Super depressed and humiliated.

Confidence has fallen to the bottom and I even want to give up.

Ps: Looking back, choking is not terrible, mainly because the previous steps and actions were not done well. Increase your fear or unhappiness about deep water.

Ps: Another reason for the collapse of confidence is that there is a big gap between the process and one's own ideas;

I imagine learning both breaststroke and freestyle during the seven-day National Day holiday, and the goal is too mindless.

Day 5: Listen to the coach's instructions, re-tie the floating board, practice standing in deep water, and continue to practice the full set of breaststroke movements.

(1) Listen to the coach's instructions and stop acting on your own;

2 first tell the coach that he is always choking and afraid of drowning;

(3) The coach enters the water and teaches how to stand in the water and stick his head out of the water;

(4) This is quite good, and I am not afraid of deep water areas or choking, because when things are not good, I can calm myself down and not choke;

⑤ First, hold the arrow-shaped floating board with both hands and practice leg movements (kicking and clamping) in the deep pool;

⑥ Then throw away the arrow-shaped floating board in your hand and practice a full set of movements;

⑦ Kick continuously for 3-5 times and swim 25 meters;

⑧ Then, replace the floating board at the waist with a small square floating board and practice swimming for 25 meters;

Pet-name ruby end stage, throw away the floating board at the waist and swim 25 meters at a time.

Gaga, confidence is back, and I feel a sense of accomplishment. The action is definitely not standard ~

According to the coach, "let yourself float, and then slowly correct your movements."

Ps: It is very important to build self-confidence and sense of accomplishment.

The sixth day, after the seventh day, is a process of consolidating and correcting actions, so I won't go into details.

however

1, on the sixth day and the seventh day, when I started to go into the water, my legs were stiff, I couldn't kick them, and I couldn't float. Tucao!

After the National Day, I forgot all about going swimming and going into the water a week later. Memories for a long time. Tucao!

Ps: It is best to warm up before swimming, warm up on shore+warm up in water; Now, I hold my breath and lie on the water 1-2 times before I start swimming.

Ps: After learning to swim, you should go to the swimming pool from time to time to get familiar with it. Otherwise, you may forget all about it.

There is no end to learning, and only open absorption can evolve.
