How to be a good role model for children?
I think there are the following views: 1. Set an example and give play to the leading role of parents. Let our parents start from the small things around us, from word and deed, bit by bit, consciously abide by social morality, maintain public order, care for public facilities, abide by the law, be enthusiastic about public welfare, protect the environment, be helpful, be polite and friendly, and respect the elderly and love the young. Holding hands with big hands exerts a subtle influence on our children. Let children learn "civilization" in life, implement "etiquette" in behavior, and cultivate children into real "modest gentlemen who know how to be polite." 2. Behavior pattern is the basis of children's cognition. Children observe their parents' behaviors and imprint them on their minds like cameras. At this time, the child has no ability to evaluate right and wrong, good and evil, and it is impossible to judge whether this impression is good or bad. They will only imitate curiously. 3, role models, parents have a high prestige in their children's hearts and are the providers of their words and deeds. Children's imitation ability is very strong, and many parents' performances and ways of doing things are easily imitated by children. Therefore, parents should let their children do what they say, not what they say, which is worse than letting their children go with the flow. 4, the role model of rules, children are growing up slowly, and some rules set by the family should also be changed slowly. However, no matter how it is changed, the rules introduced must be observed, and parents should abide by them first, which not only plays an exemplary role, but also gives children an example to imitate. If once the child does not obey and makes a mistake, parents must not punish the child directly, but let the child know where the mistake is and how to change it. Otherwise, punishment will become meaningless, just a decoration. 5. Set an example for children and cultivate their self-discipline ability. Self-discipline is easier said than done. Self-discipline is not innate, but gradually cultivated under the supervision and guidance of parents. This kind of supervision refers to effective education.
