What is the small pillow behind the Japanese women's kimono for? Who said it was convenient for reproduction?
This is not a small pillow. It looks like a pillow or cushion. That's because a small film and television production crew bought unscrupulous studio clothes. In order to simplify the knotting process, or just to save money, they directly use cloth mats instead. ...

Behind the kimono is a belt about 30 cm wide, 3.5~4 meters long and only 2~4 mm thick. The knot made of it is called "Taikoo Knot", which is wrapped around the waist for two weeks and tied at the back. Seen from the side, it is round, and seen from the back, it is square. The inside of Taikoo Knot is supported by the "pillow", and the outside of the "pillow" is wrapped with decorative tape, so the "pillow" cannot be seen from the outside.

The inner and outer layers (muscle loops, loops and objects) of modern kimono are fixed with various straps, and the straps tied to the belt are only for decoration, so even if the straps are untied, the kimono itself will not spread.

The internal structure is shown in the following figure (left). Ordinary Pacific knot. The following figure (right) shows the deformation angle outside the drum knot.
