Eating snacks between meals is definitely easy for people who are losing weight. But often two hours after dinner, hunger comes uninvited. According to Hiromi Okuda, this hunger is not a signal from the body, but a "false hunger" caused by the brain.
There are two main reasons for false hunger.
1. The food for dinner is all carbohydrates or high-sugar foods, canned coffee with sweet bread, oolong noodles, rice balls ... These foods will make blood sugar rise and fall sharply, make the brain signal chaotic, and make people feel hungry casually. It is best to have a balanced diet for dinner, so that satiety can last.
2. Vision-induced appetite After eating dinner 1~2 hours, the food in the stomach has been partially digested, and you will not be hungry but not full. At this time, if you see food that looks delicious, it is easy to cause false hunger and immediately produce appetite. At this time, if you eat, it is excess heat for your body and will be converted into fat storage.
Adults have breakfast from 6 to 8 o'clock, lunch from12 to13, and dinner from18 to 20 o'clock. Hunger outside these hours may be false hunger. You can do something else to distract your brain. After 30 minutes, the false hunger often disappears. At home, you can listen to your favorite music, read Facebook and do simple stretching exercises. If you are in the office, you can receive emails and organize information.
