Why does rubbing feet with a rolling pin have the function of regulating the spleen and stomach? Traditional Chinese medicine believes that people's soles have visceral internal reflex zones, and the corresponding visceral functions can be well adjusted by massaging the corresponding reflex zones (see figure). The reflex areas of the digestive system such as liver, gallbladder, spleen and stomach, and intestine are all concentrated in the middle of the sole of the foot. When this area is continuously stimulated, it will effectively regulate the gastrointestinal function, and at the same time promote the metabolism of fat in the gastrointestinal tract, thus improving digestion, reducing fat and shaping the body.
