The Origin of Dada Painting School
19 16 A group of young people who fled the war and came to neutral Switzerland gathered at the Voltaire Hotel to form an art group called Dada. Dada movement formed a literary and visual art movement. The main founders of Dada are German actor and playwright Hugo Bauer (L886- 1927), poet Richard Velsen Baker (1892- 1974) and French artist jean arp. 1887- 1966), Romanian poet Tristan Zara (1886- 1963), artist Marcel Janko (1895-? ) and so on. Dada is a fabricated word, which has no specific meaning in itself. Dadaism attacked the previous literary traditions, including the experimental movement in the early 20th century, and critically re-examined the guiding principles and aesthetic concepts of previous literature and art. But in terms of artistic methods, Dadaism accepted the noise of futurism, the juxtaposition of cubism, and any accidental opportunities in artistic creation. The most important artist in Zurich Dada is jean arp, who advocates that accidental opportunities should be an indispensable part of creative activities, and using accidental events is an important measure to put the unconscious into art. His works generally involve organic abstract forms, whether they are seen under a microscope or human heads or trunks. For example, Elephant Nose Belly (1920) and Hammer Flower (19 16), he created a fantasy world beyond the visible world by collage, with the help of abstract organic shapes and random and indescribable colors. After the war, Zurich Dada's teachings parted ways, thus spreading Dada spirit to various places.
