Retrieve CAD fonts
Posted in # CAD knowledge set at 2: 46 pm on Sunday, 2005 10/6.
The most annoying thing for people who use AutoCAD to draw pictures is that the pictures copied from other places can't find the corresponding fonts in this machine, which leads to all kinds of garbled codes. The reason why I can't find the font is because the font used by others is different from the storage location in my own machine. The general solution is to redefine them, but sometimes this method is not always effective, and in this process, it may also lead to unexpected errors, lead to AutoCAD crash, and even lead to the destruction of graphics files.
Another AutoCAD command is kill two birds with one stone, that is, use the recover command. First, run AutoCAD, select the "Restore" command in the file menu, select the graphics to be processed, and repair them. During the repair process, a dialog box will appear asking for font selection. At this point, you can click on the correct font file to redefine it, and the repaired text can be displayed normally. One thing to remind you is that if the Chinese used in the graphic file is a non-GB coded font file, you need the corresponding font file to display the text normally.
Drawing thick solid line with AutoCAD
Posted on Saturday, October 5th, 2005 10: 59am # CAD knowledge collection.
The national standard "Technical Drawing" has provisions on the line type in mechanical drawing. There are many ways to draw thick solid lines with AutoCAD 2000, and the simplest way is to use the lweight command.
This command can be typed directly on the command line, or you can choose the drop-down menu Format/Line Width. In the dialog box that appears, set the required line width. The default line width is 0.25mm. You can use the slider to adjust the line width display scale on the screen. This command is transparent.
You can also click the Object Properties toolbar tool icon Layer, and then set the line width in the Layer Properties Management dialog box, just like setting colors and linetypes. Therefore, the plotter does not need to adjust the pen width or line width when drawing.
Some lines are missing when printing cad drawings! (discussion)
Posted in # CAD knowledge set at 2: 29 pm on Sunday, 2005 10/6.
1. Please give us your suggestions. Why do some lines disappear when printing my CAD graphics? But my original picture is still intact!
2. If the picture is large, it may be a printer memory problem. Try a higher level printer.
3. I have also encountered this situation, mainly taking a certain version of CAD graphics to another computer (the CAD version is different). Although all graphics can be displayed, it is easy to have several lines when printing. There are also different plug-ins for printing graphics.
I don't know the cause of the problem, so I tried to print the picture on the computer that designed it. I wonder if the landlord is in the same situation as me.
I am the 2004 edition, save it as 2000, and then print it! I don't have my own printer!
My graphics are not very complicated. I printed two pictures, one without label, which is relatively complete. It's the printer, so don't worry. Let me print in WORD!
5. See if this layer is set to prohibit printing, because this kind of problem often occurs when running between different versions of software.
6. When setting the line type, each line type option has an unprintable icon. Just click on it and it will become a printable icon. I've been in this situation.
7. My situation with the landlord is not what you said, but one or two lines are missing for no reason. For example, a * * * in the picture has ten dotted lines, and only nine dotted lines will be printed after printing, and one dotted line will not be printed. Moreover, the layer settings and printing settings are correct, and there is no such thing as "the layer can't be printed" and "the line type can't be printed". If so, it should be certain.
8. It has something to do with the setting of the layer and the memory of the printer.

AUTOCAD Skills ... The difference between adding "-"before a command and not adding "-"
Published at 2: 54 pm on Sunday, October 23rd, 2005/KLOC-0 # CAD Knowledge Collection
The meaning of "-"and without "-"in AUTOCAD is different.
Adding "-"is a compatible instruction made after AUTOCAD2000 in order to make the instructions of various languages have a unified writing.
Adding "-"before the command is the command line mode of the command, and not adding it is the dialog mode.
Specifically, when the "-"is added in front, there is no dialog mode when the command runs, and all commands are input at the command line. When the "-"is not added to the command, a dialog box will appear and parameters will be entered in the dialog box.

Why are some Chinese characters question marks when opening someone else's CAD drawings?
Published at 2: 36 pm on Sunday, October 23rd, 2005/KLOC-0 # CAD Knowledge Collection
There are many explanations for the existence of this problem. Say it briefly.
(1) If you use a CAD program above R 14 to open a DWG file with a format below R 13, there may be a problem that Chinese characters are garbled, and there are many solutions. I won't talk about them here. If you are interested, you can discuss it.
② For Chinese characters with garbled characters, you can use tools such as attributes to check their fonts. Whether you don't have a font file for this font or choose to replace the font itself, the font files don't match.
(3), and then appear garbled may be your DWG file is wrong. You can fix it by using the RECOVER command first. This method should be the first choice and the first solution for you to draw with Chinese characters with question marks.
There are still some possible problems, so I won't talk about them here. You can try more. After all, the most instinctive and effective way to understand CAD is to solve the problem by yourself after it appears. Only in this way can we improve our memory and not forget it.
Can't copy (ctrl+c) and paste (ctrl+V) commands be used in cad2002?
Published at 2: 32 pm on Sunday, October 23rd, 2005/KLOC-0 # CAD Knowledge Collection
Recently, cad2002 loaded some lsp and menu files *. Mnu, but the commands of Copy (ctrl+c) and Paste (ctrl+V) in cad2002 can't be used? Why? How?
Please give me some advice.
First check: Tools-Options-User System Configuration -Windows Standard Accelerator (should be checked).
If you have checked and it still doesn't work, then:
Enter qaflags-→ Enter-→ enter 0-→ Enter at the command line. Just try it.
Mechanism animation demonstration in AutoCAD environment
Published at 2: 25pm on Sunday, October 23rd, 2005/KLOC-0 # CAD Knowledge Collection
AutoCAD is a very popular design software, which is widely used in machinery, electronics, architecture, clothing and other different fields. Because of its strong practicability, good user interface, excellent cost performance, easy to learn and many other advantages, it is favored by engineers and technicians. More importantly, it has an open architecture, allowing users to expand and modify it in almost all aspects, which can meet the special requirements of users to a greater extent. There are many secondary development methods of AutoCAD, and the most common and traditional one is based on AutoLISP language.
Taking the animation demonstration and motion analysis of four-bar mechanism, the most common mechanism in mechanical transmission, in AutoCAD as an example, this paper explains a method to realize animation in this environment. In fact, any animation is a collection of several similar instantaneous still pictures (that is, frames) played continuously. The same is true in AutoCAD, except that we have quantified the mechanism model more accurately and added corresponding geometric constraints, such as the crank-rocker mechanism shown in the figure.
The crank is constrained by fulcrum A and can only rotate around point A. Because of its rotation, the connecting rod and rocker are driven to do corresponding movements under different constraints, which is a one-to-one correspondence and conforms to the equation derived by us. This equation is the key to realize animation and motion analysis with AutoLISP language. We first give the initial position of the mechanism and the increment of a crank rotation, and then give the next position to the computer for calculation. Here, the model connection line can be drawn with polysemy lines, and the movement of the mechanism becomes the position of the vertex (hinge) of polysemy lines from time to time.
The motion equation of the four-bar mechanism will not be described here, but the use method and design idea of the program command will be briefly introduced below.
Copy the attached program file into any word processing software (such as Notepad) and save it in *. Lsp format (such as sg.lsp). Program files should be placed in a directory that can be searched by CAD (for example ... \program files\acad2000\Support). Open AutoCAD and enter (load "SG") at the command line to transfer the program. When it is successfully transmitted, at this point, enter sg at the command line to run the program. It can also be found in Tools->; Under Load Application ... menu button, call it in the program loading dialog box, find the saved sg.lsp file, and press the load button to call in the program file. The advantage of the latter method is that it is not limited by the search path. If the program cannot be transmitted correctly, please check whether sg.lsp is saved in an appropriate directory and whether the file content is complete.
After the program is transferred correctly, the initial position of the mechanism should be prepared in advance, and then the sg operation command should be entered at the command line! Snapshot four points in turn: hinge A of crank grounding, hinge between crank and connecting rod, hinge between connecting rod and rocker, and hinge B of rocker grounding. Input v to adjust the speed, input c to realize automatic continuous observation, and input l to automatically draw the motion trajectory. By default, press Enter directly to observe step by step. During continuous observation, you can only use the Cancel key [Esc] to quit the operation. When exiting, give the required corresponding data (add different extended statements as needed).
After observation and testing, we may need to make appropriate adjustments to the mechanism. In order to save the trouble of redrawing the initial position diagram and capturing the contact position again, we can adjust the mechanism appropriately with the help of the grip. Only after deleting the original mechanism model can the model be reconstructed.
Using this method, we can also create other mechanism models, such as crank-slider mechanism or composite mechanism model composed of several simple mechanisms. I successfully created a mechanism model program to analyze the feeding mechanism of GC6 150M high-speed sewing machine, which improved the speed of analyzing and solving problems. Of course, we can also use other drawing software such as Pro-E and SolidWorks to analyze the mechanism, which can also achieve our goal, but we need to master its application ability.

First, quickly enter the location of the point.
There are usually two coordinate input methods in ACAD: rectangular coordinate system and polar coordinate system.
But we often use some other input methods.
1. When the direction of a straight line is known, you can directly input the length of the straight line.
For example, if we want to input a line with units of 100 horizontally to the right, we just need to set the snapping mode to "orthogonal", and then move the mouse to the right to tell the computer the direction of drawing the line. Then enter the length 100.
2. Know the angle (the included angle with the positive direction of X axis) and length of a line, and you can select input when drawing a line.
Direction, and then enter the length.
For example, suppose a line has an angle of 48 degrees and a length of 100. You can enter it as follows:
A. Enter "l" to start drawing a straight line, and choose a point as the starting point of the straight line.
B. Enter "
C. Enter the length "100" to get the required straight line.
Second, the window mode and cross mode
ACAD commonly used object selection methods have three kinds:
1, click directly. (The point is at the edge of the object)
2. Window mode. When selecting an object, click and drag the mouse in the blank, and a rectangle will appear. If the solid line indicates the window mode, only the objects surrounded by rectangles are selected.
3. Cross mode. Except that the rectangular box is a dotted line, its usage is the same as that of a window. At this point, as long as the object intersects the rectangular box, it will be selected.
The usage of window mode and cross mode is: when the mouse pulls from left to right, it is window mode.
From right to left is the cross mode. You can also enter "w" to represent the window when selecting objects.
Mouth mode, enter "c" for cross mode, so you don't have to worry about it.
Five, selection skills
Users can use the mouse to select targets one by one, and the selected targets are added to the selection set one by one. In addition, AutoCAD also provides a window (type "w" to respond to the selected object: or directly pull a rectangular box from right to left on the screen to respond to the selected object: prompt). Cross (by typing "c" to respond to the selected object: or directly pull a rectangular box from left to right on the screen to respond to the selected object: prompt), Cpolygon (by typing "CP" to respond to the selected object:), Wpolygon (by typing "WP" to respond to the selected object:) and other window ways to select the target, where window and Crossing are used for rectangular windows, while Wpolygon and C. In window and Wpolygon mode, the entity is selected only when all parts of the entity are contained in the window, while in Crossing and Cpolygon mode, the entity is selected as long as part of the entity is contained in the window.
AutoCAD also provides a fence method (by typing "f" in response to "Select Object:") to select entities, draw an unclosed polyline, and all entities intersecting the polyline will be selected. When choosing a goal, sometimes you accidentally choose a goal that you shouldn't choose. At this point, the user can respond to the prompt of "Select Object:" by typing r, then delete some wrongly selected targets from the selection set, then type a, and then add the targets to the selection set. When the selected entity is adjacent to other entities, you can hold down the CTRL key and then click the left mouse button continuously. At this point, the adjacent entities are highlighted in turn until the selected entity is highlighted, and then press Enter (or click the right mouse button) to select the entity. You can also select entities conditionally, that is, use' filter' to respond to the selected object:. In AutoCAD2000, you also provided a QuickSelect method to select entities, which is similar to filter in function, but simpler and more convenient in operation. The selection set construction method provided by AutoCAD is very powerful, and the flexible and appropriate use can greatly improve the drawing efficiency.
Six, quality attribute query
AutoCAD provides the query of point coordinates (ID), Distance and area, which brings great convenience to graphic analysis. However, in practical work, it is sometimes necessary to query the quality attribute characteristics of entities. AutoCAD provides the query of entity quality attributes, which can conveniently query the inertia moment, area moment and center of mass of the entity. It should be noted that for the closed area composed of curves and polysemy lines, the closed area should be located with the region command first, and then the quality attribute can be queried, and then the inertia moment, area moment and centroid of the entity can be queried.
Chinese character processing skills in AutoCAD;
-First example: empty characters-
Do a basic effect first.
Steps:
1. Type the "Mtext" command to open the Multiline Text Editor, for example, select a Chinese font in the Characters tab, and then enter the word "empty characters".
Note: Wide-stroke fonts can be used in both Chinese and English, and single-line fonts (such as txt.shx, gbenor.shx, gbcbig.shx, etc. It doesn't matter (who said that? )。
2. Type "Txtexp" command, select all, and press enter to decompose the selected text.
Note: In AutoCAD, text belongs to a special object, and it can only be processed more after being decomposed into lines. "Txtexp" is a command in the Express toolset (that is, "shortcut tool" on the menu bar of AutoCAD2000 Chinese version, which must be completely installed or customized). The function of this command is to decompose text into lines and arcs. Be careful not to use the Split command.
3. Type the "Trim" command, check the "empty characters" box, and cut off the extra lines in each character stroke.
4. Type the Boundary command, confirm that the polyline option is in the Object Type under the Advanced tab, press the Pick Point button, click inside each stroke one by one, and then press enter.
Note: After pruning, the strokes become many independent fragmentary lines and arcs, so use this command to connect each stroke into a closed polysemy line. Note that because of this command, an object is actually copied in place and the color changes to a layer color. In order not to affect the operation, the original object can be deleted. In addition, for hollow characters, this step is not necessary (it doesn't hurt to do it, the same below), and here we prepare for the treatment of the effects of some words later.
5. Select "background word" on the screen and press "Ctrl+ 1" to open the "Object Properties" dialog box. In the Color column, select a color, or click the drop-down arrow on the right and choose Other. There are more colors to choose from.
Note: The color selection step is unnecessary in the following production. You can change the color yourself.
