Composition and function differences of dashboard, DCS and FCS
Dashboard: a hard flat or structural part used to install instruments and related equipment.

According to the types, there are screen instrument panel, frame instrument panel, channel instrument panel and cabinet instrument panel.

The instrument panel can be equipped with external lighting or a console. It has various forms and specifications, and can be installed with various instruments as required, or combined into a whole as required.

DCS: 1) DCS and TDCS are the fourth generation process control systems, which integrate 4C (communication, computer, control and CRT) technologies. It not only has the advantages of advanced control formula, high precision and fast response of computer control system, but also has the requirements of safe and reliable instrument control system and convenient maintenance.

(2) Top-down tree topology large-scale system, in which communication is the key.

(3) It is a tree topology with a parallel and continuous link structure, and a large number of cables run in parallel from the relay station to the field instrument.

(4) Analog signal, A/D-D/A, mixed with microprocessor. It consists of several computers and intelligent components of some intelligent instruments, and gradually replaces analog signals with digital signals.

(5) A pair of wires of the instrument are connected to I/O, and the instrument is connected to the local area network LAN from the control station.

(6)DCS is a three-level structure of control (engineer station), operation (operator station) and field instrument (field measurement and control station). The disadvantage is that the cost is high, the products of each company can not interoperate, and the large DCS system is different from company to company.

(7) Used for large-scale continuous process control, such as centralized control of petrochemical and large power plant units.

Functional constituency:

(1)FCS is the fifth generation process control system and the development direction of automation control system in the 20th century. It is the integration of 3C technology (communication, computer and control). The basic tasks are: essential safety, dangerous areas, variable processes, difficulties and abnormal environment.

(2) Fully digital, intelligent and multifunctional, replacing instruments, meters and control devices that simulate a single function.

(3) Use two wires to connect scattered field instruments and control devices, instead of using two wires for each instrument. "Field control" replaces "decentralized control"; Data transmission adopts "bus" mode.

(4) The bidirectional digital communication bus from the control room to the field equipment is an interconnected, bidirectional, serial multi-node and open digital communication system, rather than a unidirectional, single-point, parallel and closed analog system.

(5) Replace centralized control station with decentralized virtual control station.

(6) Transfer the microcomputer processor to the on-site automatic control equipment, so that the equipment has digital calculation and digital communication capabilities, high signal transmission accuracy and long transmission distance. Realize digital signal transmission, decentralized control functions and unified and open standards.

(7) You can access the local area network and then communicate with the Internet. It is both a communication network and a control network.

(8) Typical application of Category 3 FCS: 1) Automatic control of continuous processes such as petrochemical industry, in which "intrinsically safe and explosion-proof" technology is absolutely important; 2) Automatic control of discrete process actions, such as automobile manufacturing robots and automobiles; 3) Multi-point control such as building automation.
