Run a command prompt as an administrator, type net stop wuauserv and press enter, and then delete all files in the folders C: \ Windows \ Software Distribution \ Download and C: \ Windows \ Software Distribution \ datastore. Then enter net start wuauserv at the command prompt, or enter diss/online/clean-up-image/startcomponentclean/reset base for systems above Win8 (the update cannot be uninstalled after executing this command).
