In order to adapt to the diversity of music performance disciplines, the college has established a teaching system focusing on vocal music, keyboard, orchestral music, folk music and musicology, including dozens of musical instruments and professional categories, hired outstanding domestic professionals as professional guidance, and introduced advanced management teaching experience at home and abroad into the Conservatory of Music. Adhere to the standardized professional teaching mode in teaching, give full play to the enthusiasm of existing teachers, and hire famous artists and performing artists at home and abroad as part-time teachers, which ensures that the college is in line with art education at home and abroad in discipline setting and teaching. In addition, the college also attaches great importance to the teaching link of "practice". The college has music practice performance organizations such as student symphony orchestra, choir, national orchestra, chamber orchestra and dance team, aiming at consolidating theoretical teaching through practice and displaying teaching results through stage. In the course arrangement, the proportion of practical courses such as symphony orchestra ensemble class, folk music team class and chorus class has been increased. The college also plans to improve students' artistic practice level by focusing on training top students to participate in domestic and international competitions, holding concerts every week, and performing for students majoring in music performance at the end of each semester. In addition to full-time undergraduate teaching, the Conservatory of Music has also carried out all-round and multi-level art education, established diversified Philharmonic Art School, affiliated art high school and Qingdao Oriental Private School, and jointly set up characteristic music classes. Over the years, it has successfully carried out the teaching of correspondence courses. In 2005, the college opened an in-service master's course.
