The pathogenesis of motion sickness is not fully understood, which is mainly related to vestibular function. Balloon and balloon of eardrum labyrinthine in vestibular organ feel up-and-down linear motion, and hair cells of three semicircular canals feel rotational motion. When the balloon or hair cell is stimulated by a certain amount of abnormal movement, the nerve impulse spreads from vestibular nerve to vestibular nucleus, and then to cerebellum and hypothalamus, thus causing a series of clinical manifestations with vertigo as the main symptom. Stimulating vestibule affects reticular structure, causing blood pressure drop and vomiting. The vestibular nucleus reaches the oculomotor nucleus through the medial longitudinal bundle fibers, which causes nystagmus, and the cerebellum and hypothalamus are stimulated by nerves, which causes changes in muscle tension of the whole body. Motion sickness may have something to do with vision. For example, when people stare at fast moving or rotating objects, it may also cause this disease. Stimulation of cerebellum may also be another mechanism of this disease. In addition, high temperature, high humidity, poor ventilation and special noise.
The disease often occurs several minutes to several hours after riding, sailing, flying and other operations. At first, I felt discomfort in my upper abdomen, and then I felt nausea, pallor, cold sweat, dizziness, depression, increased saliva secretion and vomiting, and may cause water loss and electrolyte disorder due to decreased blood pressure, deep and slow breathing, nystagmus and severe vomiting. Symptoms usually disappear or abate within a few minutes or hours after stopping the operation or slowing down, and only last for a few days gradually.
