Changyuan City, a municipality directly under the Central Government of Henan Province and Xinxiang City, is located in the northeast of Henan Province. In 2022, the bulletin of the seventh national census of Henan Province was released, and the permanent population of Changyuan was 905,436.

The Location and Boundary of Changyuan City

Changyuan City is located in the northeast of Henan Province, with the latitude of11429'-1459' and the latitude of 34 59'-35 23'. It is in the center of Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, Anyang, Puyang, Kaifeng and Heze.

Changyuan City is a part of the alluvial plain of the Yellow River. There are no mountains in the territory, and the terrain is flat and low, with an altitude of 57-69 meters. The Yellow River levee is connected with the Taihang levee, which runs through the whole territory from northeast and southwest directions, and naturally divides the city into two parts: the eastern levee is the Yellow River beach area, with high terrain in the west and low terrain in the east, high in the south and low in the north. The alluvial plain of the Yellow River in the west of the dike is flat with few gentle slopes.
