1927 August 7th. The August 7th meeting was an emergency meeting held by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Hankou, Hubei Province on August 7th, 1927, after the failure of the Great Revolution, at a time of serious crisis concerning the future and destiny of the Party and the revolutionary cause.

Meeting background

1927, Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Ching-wei successively defected to the revolution, and the China revolution was at a very urgent juncture.

In order to sum up the experience and lessons of the failure of the Great Revolution, correct the right opportunism mistakes, and determine the party's future struggle principles and tasks,1On August 7, 927, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held an emergency meeting of the Central Committee at No.41Hankou, the former Russian concession (now No.39 Poyang Street/kloc-0).
