Renault said that the company is negotiating with the trade union on the latest layoffs plan. As part of the overall restructuring, the group previously announced that it would lay off about 4,600 people in France. The company said that after recruiting 2,500 new employees in other functional departments, 500 new jobs will be created overall. Renault said that it plans to produce nine new models in France.
According to Renault's plan, Renault Power will cooperate with its giant e-powertrain factory in Normandy to build a compact, efficient and high-tech power ecosystem in northern France.
