What are the materials of die steel?
1, die steels commonly used in the domestic market are:

420SS corrosion-resistant plastic die steel, AISI and ASTM standard steel grades in the United States. Roughly steel grades: China 4Cr 13(GB), Germany X38C 13(DIN), France Z40C40(NF) and Russia 40X 13(I'OCT).

440C corrosion-resistant plastic die steel, AISI and ASTM standard steel. The approximate steel grades: China 1 1Cr 17(GB), Japanese SUS440C(JIS) and Russian 95X 18(I'OCT).

P20 pre-hardened plastic die steel, AISI and ASTM standard steel grades. It has been listed in China's national standards (see GB/T 1299-2000, 3Cr2Mo), and the pre-hardening hardness is generally in the range of 30 ~ 32 HRC, which is suitable for making large and medium-sized precision plastic molds with complex shapes. General steel grades: China 3Cr2Mo (national standard), Germany 1.2330(W-Nr), France 35 CrMo8(NF), etc.

2. Japanese plastic mould steel commonly used in the domestic market.

G-STAR corrosion-resistant plastic mould steel, the manufacturer's brand is Japan Datong Special Steel (Factory). The steel can be pre-hardened, the ex-factory hardness is 33 ~ 37 HRC, and it has good corrosion resistance and machinability, and can be combined with S-STAR steel to form a corrosion-resistant plastic mold.

NAK55/NAK80 mirror plastic die steel, the manufacturer brand is Japan Datong Special Steel (Factory). These two steels can be pre-hardened to a hardness of 37 ~ 43 HRC. NAK55 has good machinability, and NAK80 has excellent mirror polishing performance, which is used to make high-precision mirror plastic molds.

PXZ pre-hardened plastic die steel, the manufacturer brand is Japan Datong Special Steel (Factory). The hardness of this steel is 27 ~ 34 HRC. The steel has good machinability and welding repair performance, and can be used to manufacture large-scale etching molds and plastic molds such as automobile bumpers, instrument surface decorative plates, household appliance shells, etc.

PX4/PX5 mirror plastic die steel, the manufacturer brand is Japan Datong Special Steel (Factory). This steel can be pre-hardened to a hardness of 30 ~ 33 HRC. These two steels are improved versions of P20 in the United States, and are used to make plastic molds for large mirrors, taillights for automobiles, molds for front baffles, cameras, and molds for housing of household appliances.

S45c/S50c/S55c common plastic die steel. Japanese JIS standard steel grades are similar to China's high-quality carbon structural steels 45, 50 and 55, respectively, and are often used for non-important parts of molds, such as mold bases. Due to the special requirements of die steel, the production process of this kind of steel requires concentrate, refining and vacuum degassing, and the carbon content range of steel is reduced, and the sulfur and phosphorus contents are controlled at a low level. For example, in YB/T 107- 1997, the steel grades of carbon plastic die steel are SM45, SM48, SM50, SM53 and SM55, which are different from ordinary steel grades.

S-STAR corrosion-resistant mirror plastic mould steel is the manufacturer brand of Datong Special Steel (Factory) in Japan. This steel belongs to martensitic stainless steel, which has high corrosion resistance, high mirror polishing performance and small heat treatment deformation. It is used to make corrosion-resistant mirror precision plastic molds.

3. German plastic mould steel commonly used in domestic market.
