Creative background:
1May, 955, Wang Lu was hospitalized due to eye diseases. Lying in the hospital bed, he suddenly saw swallows flying outside the window and remembered that Children's Day was coming. He immediately wrote five children's poems including The Little Swallow on his desk. This group of poems was first published in the wall newspaper of Daye Normal School where Wang Lu was teaching at that time. Later, it was recommended to be published in the June issue of Changjiang Literature and Art of 1956.
Shortly after Wang Lufa released The Swallow, the film Diary of a Nurse started shooting in Shanghai, and Wang Yunjie received the task of writing the theme song for the film. Wang Yunjie read many newspapers and magazines in China at that time, and finally took a fancy to the swallow. He immediately wrote to Wang Lu, hoping that the two sides would cooperate. At the same time, it is proposed that the poem is as long as three natural paragraphs ***20 lines, which cannot be used as the theme lyrics, and the most suitable is the first natural paragraph. He also suggested changing the word "black" for "swallows are dressed in black" to "flowers". After receiving the letter, Wang Lu was so excited that he felt that he had met a bosom friend thousands of miles away. That night, he wrote back to express his approval. The Little Swallow was edited, polished and composed by Wang Yunjie, and became the theme song of Nurse Diary.
