You intend to obtain a lawyer's license in Hong Kong. If you study in Hong Kong, you still need to complete a two-year internship as a lawyer (the same is true for Commonwealth graduates) after obtaining a bachelor's degree in law and a professional certificate in law from the University of Hong Kong or a bachelor's degree in law and a postgraduate certificate in law from the City University of Hong Kong.

Those who wish to qualify as barristers can be admitted as barristers after obtaining the above bachelor's degree and certificate and completing the six-month internship period; But if you want to practice, you have to practice for another 6 months (during which you can practice as a barrister in a limited scope).
You can qualify as a barrister or lawyer in Hong Kong through law graduates from other universities in the following ways:
First obtain a legal professional certificate/advanced legal certificate, and then work as a trainee lawyer for two years or a trainee barrister for one year;
Having passed or been exempted from the overseas lawyer qualification examination, and having obtained the lawyer qualification after being admitted, meeting the practice requirements; or
Pass the barrister qualification examination and complete the required barrister internship period.
