Plot introduction

The First Generation Story (Late Qing Dynasty)

The Phoenix Quartet mainly describes the different marriage stories of four generations of women in China. The first generation began with blind marriage and dumb marriage in the late Qing Dynasty. Wei Yufeng, the heroine, is a good girl who knows the book and is polite, soft outside and strong inside. She and Yu Ci, the chef at home, were childhood friends.
