For example, the traditional process requires more machines and molds to complete the production and processing of multiple parts, and the labor and machine costs are high. However, after adopting the integrated die casting machine, the factory can only save 30% of the floor space, and the number of workers can be reduced to one tenth. However, the die casting process also has a big disadvantage, that is, the maintenance cost. When the stamping car is damaged, only one part needs to be replaced, while the die-casting car may need to replace a larger part, so the later maintenance cost is not low.

As for the safety factor, there is no data showing that the quality of die-casting body is worse than that of stamping body, and the safety factor of Tesla car has not been significantly reduced in the crash test. Volkswagen's safety concerns are mainly about its battery, not the die-cast body.
