Dogs should eat less and eat more. The puppy grew very fast six months ago and had a great demand for nutrition. Its vigorous metabolism makes it have a good appetite, but because of its small stomach capacity, we need to provide food several times a day. If the puppy is only two or three months old, it should be fed four times a day, at 7: 00 am, at noon 12, at 5: 00 pm, and at afternoon 10. Older dogs can be fed three times in the morning, middle and evening; After 8 months, it was reduced to 2 times a day; After 1 year-old, change to routine feeding, usually just one meal a day. It is particularly important to emphasize that puppies should not be fed too much every meal. Seven or eight achievements are enough, and the specific amount (wet food) is about half the size of their heads. If you are not sure, you would rather feed less. The direct consequence of overfeeding is easy to cause food stagnation or acute gastroenteritis. About 20% of the death of puppies can be attributed to improper feeding to varying degrees, mostly because of overfeeding, just like when we first learned to grow flowers, flowers and plants always died because of our excessive care and watering. Puppies should be fed more protein-rich and digestible foods, such as cooked chicken (beef), animal liver, egg yolk and baby rice noodles. The younger they are, the thinner their food is.
Don't change meals easily. Almost all animals are obsessed with the food they often eat, because unfamiliar food also means insecurity, especially for cubs who need security. When buying a dog, the most important question we need to ask is what it eats, so that when it comes to a new home, it can be effectively comforted by feeding it familiar food for a long time. Even if we have the conditions to provide more nutritious food, there must be a gradual transition process. The length of this process depends on the adaptability of the puppy. If the puppy gets familiar with the new home environment quickly, the process can be shorter. We can use the characteristics that dogs can recognize the taste after they are used to eating a certain food, and carry out food recognition training from an early age. If you decide to take commercial feed as the staple food in the future, you can gradually increase the proportion of commercial feed in the puppy's diet until you are fully fed. If you insist on not feeding snacks at ordinary times, your pet dog will not eat outside when it has a conditioned response to fixed food.
