Orthokeratology
Orthokeratology uses specially designed orthokeratology lenses to reduce myopia by changing the shape of the central surface of cornea symmetrically and gradually, so as to achieve the purpose of treating myopia. Similar to laser surgery, but different from laser surgery, orthokeratology produces a temporary and recoverable effect, which is an effective reversible treatment method for non-surgical removal of myopia glasses. Orthokeratology can help most people to improve their vision (including astigmatism patients and patients with moderate and high myopia), but it is more effective in a specific range of photometric prescriptions. Other factors include corneal hardness, corneal shape, intraocular pressure level, corneal astigmatism and suitability for wearing contact lenses. Only by using advanced and modern ophthalmic examination equipment can we determine whether the wearer is suitable for orthokeratology treatment.
