In fact, yogurt made with some skim milk will not be too dry. Is there such a high fat content? It is definitely the best choice for homemade yogurt. I choose authentic yogurt because I like it without adding it and it is fermented milk, so I feel at ease in making it.
Second step
Heat the milk to 95 degrees, preferably with a small fire, and never boil it. The purpose of this step is to kill miscellaneous bacteria. Then put the pot in a cold water bath, which can reduce the temperature of milk to about 35-37 degrees, and the commonly used strains in fermentation can survive well in this temperature range.
Third step
Add half a cup of real yogurt to the cooled milk and mix well. Then put it in the yogurt machine. I use the most basic home yogurt machine. The trick of making yogurt is to master the two temperatures of boiling milk and adding live bacteria. If this is good, the success rate will be high. There is no need to use complicated things.
Fourth step
Let it stand for 3 to 4 hours, and the thick yogurt will be ready, but there is still a step away from Greek yogurt.
Step five
Everyone knows how to make coffee by hand. HARIO's coffee filter cup is borrowed here. According to the amount of Greek yogurt you want to make, put the filter paper away, pour the yogurt, and then all you need to do is wait.
Step 6
You can see the whey filtered from the cup. Actually, just let it stand for an hour or two. If it takes too long, it will be easy to dry, and the effect will be the same as fromage blanc.
