1September, 1994, with the approval of Fujian Provincial Civil Affairs Department, Tongling Town was revoked and its jurisdiction was merged into xipu town. At the same time, Tongbai Village was drawn from Kangmei Town, Huwei Village and Nanpu Village were drawn from Zhang Tang Town and merged into xipu Town.
