What happens when you squeeze wet towels in space?
In weightlessness, water will not drip downwards, and only "water polo" can be formed due to surface tension. In this case, if you twist the towel, you will twist out large and small "water polo" from the towel. These "water polo" won't fall (there is no gravity) and can only be suspended in the air. After you loosen the towel with your hands, these "water polo" will be reabsorbed by the towel due to the capillary action of the textile fibers in the towel, so don't unscrew it directly like on the ground. You can use the dryer to dry it, or you can tighten it and throw it away (throw the water polo out).
