Foreign gods teach you 9 PS time-saving skills
For many PS whites, simplifying workflow and saving PS time may be just a concept. Paul Tesso, a foreign PS god, introduces 9 PS time-saving skills to everyone. These technologies can better enable Photoshop to complete most tasks.

PS CC is very powerful.

First, shortcut keys

You can find the "keyboard shortcut" option under the edit menu, but we usually press Cmd/Ctrl+Option/Alt+Shift K to bring up the shortcut menu. Find the image option from the application menu command, click the drop-down triangle button, find the CMYK option, and set the shortcut key for it.

Second, standardize the default settings.

For the conversion between RGB and CMYK, you can set a series of adjustment operations, including all the conversions you need. The first step is to change the CMYK mode, create a control point in the black field and white field of the curve, and fine-tune it, thus changing the tone value of the image.

Figure 02

Third, the curve setting

Add curve operations to batch processing, even if not every time. Before taking action, what we need to do is to change the default setting of the curve. First, open an image and create a curve adjustment layer. Double-click the black spot sampling tool and set the brightness of HSB to 5% in the color picker.

Figure 03

Fourth, continue curve setting.

Here you need to repeat the previous process, double-click the white point sampling tool, and set the HSB brightness in the color picker to a value between 95%- 100%. At this time, a dialog box will pop up asking whether it is necessary to save the target color as the default value, and you can directly select Yes. In this way, when you use the black, gray and white sampling tools to sample, you can do more details.

Five, intelligent sharpening filter

The printed image with low definition is ugly, and the solution of PS is to use sharpening smart filter. Use smart sharpening to change the sharpness of an image by changing the size of the sharpening value. Generally speaking, the larger the numerical value, the higher the image resolution and the greater the contrast of edge pixels.

Use the quick selection tool to create a layer mask.

In PS, we often need to separate a part of the image and make targeted modifications. Here we can save time by combining Wacom tablet and using quick selection tools. In addition, the edge thinning option can output the selection as a layer mask, or you can specify an adjustment layer to adjust it.

Seven, quick selection tools

Click the shortcut key w to find the quick selection tool, click and drag in the target area to create a selection, and hold down the Opt/Alt key while dragging to subtract the unnecessary parts in the selection. Press f to cycle through the views. Click the "Smart Radius" option under "Edge Detection" and smear it on the edge of the selection to make the selection smoother and finer.

Eight, brush stroke path

This technique is mainly used to copy some unnecessary elements in CMYK images. Create an open path along the target image, select the Spot Repair Brush tool, set the brush size, and then click the Stroke Path with Brush icon in the Paths panel.

Nine, the intelligent layer

If you want to perform the same operation in multiple source images, you need to convert your design into a smart layer. To do this, select all layers, then click Ctrl+ Right-click and turn them into smart objects. Then, drag the smart layer into the image file to create a layer mask.
