The National Radio and Television Host "Golden Microphone" Award was established by China Radio and Television Society, aiming to commend and reward the host who made outstanding contributions and made extraordinary achievements. It is the highest honor of the host, and it is also the only award to select excellent hosts in China so far.

The "Golden Microphone" Award is evaluated every two years. Every session has been held since the fifth session.
