From the report of ICF's fourth global coach market survey in 2020, it can be seen that training and certification are very important for coaches and managers/leaders who use coaching skills. Almost all professional coaches (99%) said that they had completed some special coaching training. Surprisingly, 93% of managers/leaders who use coaching skills have also received some special coaching training.

Most coaches and managers/leaders who use coaching skills expect their coaches to obtain certification or qualification certificates, which has increased from 74% in 20 16 to 85% now.
