Luliangshan State-owned Forest Administration of Shaanxi Province, formerly known as Lvliang Forestry Committee Branch, is a department-level organizational system. It has been 60 years since the school was founded twice and moved four times.

Luliangshan State-owned Forest Management Bureau is a state-owned forest management institution directly under Shanxi Provincial Forestry Department, located in the south of Shanxi Province, in the southern section of Luliangshan, east longitude 1 1 04' to 1 1 45' north latitude 35 52' 37 20.
It is about 200 kilometers long from north to south and 70 kilometers wide from east to west. The business scope covers 3 counties of Zhongyang, Jiaokou and Shilou in Lvliang and 7 counties (districts) of Du Yao, Xiangning, Jixian, Puxian, Xixian, Fenxi and Xiangfen in Linfen. * * * has jurisdiction over 44 townships, 2 15 administrative villages and 885 villages.

From north to south, the jurisdiction consists of the continuous main ridges of Muhutai, Upper Tianshan, Amethyst, Laoyeding, Qinwangshan, Gaotianshan and Renzutou Taishan, as well as undulating mountains on both sides, vertical and horizontal gullies and some loess hills. The terrain is broken and the ecology is extremely fragile.
The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, and it is located at the angle between the Yellow River and Fenhe River. The average elevation in the whole region is about1500m, and the highest peak in Tianshan Mountain is 2100m.
The main rivers in China are Sanchuan River, Shui Xin River and Fenhe River, three tributaries of the Yellow River.
There are 2 1 subordinate units of Forestry Bureau, namely: Chemingyu, Guanguan, Jiaokou, Dongshan, Kangcheng, Li Xia, Shangzhuang, Ke Cheng, Xiexiang, Taitou, Guankou, Hedi and Tunli, state-owned forest farms 13 (including 6 forest farms in mining areas), provincial forest seed cultivation center and Wulu.
