The feeling of running

I have been doing water and electricity at home these two days. When I have more time in the morning, I want to go for a morning run.

I ran 5 kilometers for the first time yesterday. To be honest, it's still a little difficult. I've never run before, so I started thinking about running in one breath. After running for a while, I found that I couldn't keep going, and I remembered "how to exercise correctly" mentioned in Cognitive Awakening.

Effective exercise is not to "torture" yourself with high intensity, nor to wander outdoors, but to maintain an appropriate heart rate. As far as slimming aerobic exercise is concerned, professional advice is to keep the heart rate between 60% and 80%, just at the edge of the body comfort zone, and exercise for half an hour every day can produce excellent results.

Keep yourself breathing while doing aerobic exercise. For example, when running, keep the speed fast enough until you have some asthma, lasting 1~2 minutes, then switch to brisk walking, adjust your breathing and repeat. Almost everyone can do this activity.

The greater significance of exercise is not to keep fit, but to keep the brain healthy. It can not only make people more optimistic, but also make their minds more flexible, and ultimately improve their health and cognitive level.
