Bachelor of traditional Chinese medicine
In the learning process of this major, students have more than 900 hours of clinical practice experience, so that students can truly apply what they have learned and apply what they have learned. Among them, 250 hours will be trained in UniClinic, a campus clinic, and the other 250 hours will be an internship in a real hospital off campus.
In the fourth year of university, students can have 400 hours of internship in key hospitals in China to deepen their skills. During the internship, they will be accompanied by teachers and served as supervisors. If you have special needs, you can also change this internship into an Australian project.
Master of traditional Chinese medicine
The direction of training students in this course is Chinese medicine clinical and Chinese medicine research. In clinical practice of TCM, West Sydney cooperated with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine to set up short-term intensive practice in China Hospital. Students who have completed the four-week internship will also receive a graduate diploma from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine when they graduate.
In research and teaching, students will participate in an important Chinese medicine research project funded by the Australian National Institute of Complementary Medicine. The duration of this course is 1.5 years, including solid theoretical foundation and practical training to strengthen and integrate the health care system. This course is practical and flexible in teaching methods and time, so that students who embark on a career path can conduct research and study while working.
