The film company was founded in June 5438+0994, with three founders, namely Steven Allan Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and david geffen. DreamWorks products include movies, cartoons, TV programs, home video entertainment, records, books, toys and consumer goods.
In the field of animation, DreamWorks is the only film company that can compete with Disney. The animations produced include Prince of Egypt, Shrek, Pony Fairy, Legend of Sinbad's Seven Seas, Chicken Run, etc.
In terms of movies, DreamWorks also has many excellent works at large. Catch Me If You Can, American version, Midnight Bell, Ring, Evening Dress, Tuxedo, Vanilla Sky, Gladiator, Ghost Invasion, In Shock, Shocking the Galaxy, these are well-known classic movies.
The first deep impression of DW's film is its beautiful opening picture: a little boy leans on the moon to fish in the quiet sky at night, creating a brilliant and magical dream in an instant. This is people's naive dream. We have lost her, but DreamWorks presents them to people again and keeps fairy tales in the purest place in our hearts forever.

Paramount buys DreamWorks
In 2005, Paramount acquired DreamWorks.
After some fierce infighting, Paramount Film Company defeated NBC Universal at the last minute and finalized the acquisition agreement with DreamWorks for about $654.38 billion, capturing the "unexpected" ending of a Hollywood blockbuster.
Previously, public opinion was almost optimistic about NBC Universal, which was regarded as the best buyer of DreamWorks. At present, the DVD discs and overseas distribution of movies produced by DreamWorks are handled by NBC Universal Picture. In fact, NBC Universal was once the only buyer of DreamWorks. Although it ended in discord, the two sides returned to the negotiating table two months ago.
At the same time, an invisible black horse appeared. Paramount Pictures is a subsidiary of Viacom, the largest media group in the United States. But NBC Universal didn't take Paramount to heart at first, and it firmly believed that its advantage was unshakable. Last Friday, NBC Universal once again confirmed the purchase price of about 900 million US dollars to DreamWorks, but never expected the nightmare to come.
DreamWorks issued a notice to NBC Universal and its subsidiary Universal Studios on the same day, deciding to suspend the negotiation process between the two parties and accept Paramount's offer instead. People familiar with the matter said that Brad Gray, CEO of Paramount, and Tom Freston, co-president of Viacom, had lunch with Spielberg on Friday and reached a final agreement at the dinner table, thus sending NBC Universal out of the game at the last minute. According to the agreement, Paramount agreed to pay 825 million to 900 million dollars in cash to DreamWorks, and at the same time bear the liabilities of the latter as high as 600 million dollars. It is expected that the two sides will issue a formal statement on the acquisition this week.
For Paramount, the joining of DreamWorks is a long-awaited "timely rain". Lei Shidong, 82-year-old Viacom's mother coach, made a big move at Paramount's top management and invited Gray, a 47-year-old talented agent, to replace Shirley Lance as the new CEO of the company.
Not only that, Paramount also obtained the film distribution right of DreamWorks Animation, which was listed independently, and the ownership of 60 films such as Gladiator. Paramount is seeking to establish its international distribution status, because it has just broken up with United International Pictures, a global joint venture distribution company.
"There is no doubt that Paramount has got a rich film treasure house, plus Spielberg's name." Soleil Securities analyst Laura Martin commented.
