1. During the employment period, the company requires employees to provide a copy of their ID cards, which is generally considered to be used for keeping employee files or registering relevant system data. According to the provisions of the labor law, it is legal for the unit to require employees to provide a copy of their resident identity cards. The unit may collect a copy of the employee's ID card, but it cannot detain the original employee's ID card.
2. When an employee signs a labor contract with the company, the company has the right to get the employee's ID card to verify its information, and can also be responsible for filing the original ID card. As long as the company does not detain the employee's ID card, it is legal. If the employee is worried about illegal use, he can mark "Comments for XXX Company" in the copy.
What deserves our special attention is that the copy of ID card without endorsement is easy to leave hidden dangers, which may cause unnecessary economic losses and even endanger personal credit information. Therefore, the purpose, name, date and other remarks should be written on the copy of the ID card to avoid corresponding risks.
4. Providing a copy of your ID card means paying social security and issuing a salary card.
Employees generally need the following materials to join the company:
1, 3 one-inch bareheaded photos;
2. Original ID card or photocopy of household registration book;
3. Original academic qualifications and degree certificates;
4. Proof of dissolution or termination of the labor contract with the original unit;
5. Physical examination certificate.
