Why is the space of disk C in win7 getting smaller and smaller?
First, the Windows7 system disk (usually the C disk) is getting smaller and smaller, usually because system protection is turned on. This protection function will automatically create restore points (system file backups) at regular intervals. Turn off this feature to free up disk space as follows:

1. As shown in the following figure, pay attention to the red circle mark, open the control panel, switch the "View Mode" to the "Small Icon" on the upper right, and click "System":

2. Click "System Protection", as shown in the following figure:

3. As shown in the figure below, the red circle marks the project. Click on disk C (the same is true for turning off the system protection of disk D), and then click "Configure":

4. As shown in the figure below, mark the project with a red circle, click "Disable system protection", then click "Delete", and finally click "OK", and the space occupied by system backup of disk C will be released:

5. It is not recommended to turn off the system protection function when there is enough hard disk space.

Second, the secondary means to release system disk space is to clean up junk files, but this path will not release too much space, so it is generally not necessary to clean up (it is strongly recommended not to use third-party software to clean up the so-called "system garbage").

1, as shown in the following figure, right-click disk C, and then click Properties in the right-click menu:

2. As shown below, click "Disk" to clean up, and the system will start scanning useless files. After scanning, check the items and click OK to delete them:
