Poverty should be a common impression in everyone's eyes. Africa is probably the place with the richest sand and the poorest water resources. As a person who grew up in the southern water city, I can't imagine how to live in a water-deficient place. My first impression is the scene described in San Mao's Story of the Sahara. Without water, bathing becomes a luxury. Several people share unclean water and need to wash the dirty things off their bodies. Not only water, desert economic conditions, education, etc. But the life written by San Mao adds a layer of literary romance to the story of the desert, but it can't cover up its poverty.
But the desert is also a free place, and it is part of my future vision. I know a senior who teaches at the Confucius Institute in Ghana. She is a Chinese volunteer, which is my dream job. I think Africa is a mysterious place, its yellow sand, its humanity and everything. There is a yearning for this place, so there is no condition for poverty.
