How to improve ADHD in children? First of all, children's problems are more parents' problems, so we need parents' attention. If children are usually too lively, grumpy, procrastinating in eating or often inattentive, then we must doubt whether they are suffering from ADHD. ADHD in children has some defects in attention and slight brain dysfunction, which is a common abnormal behavior disease of children without drug treatment. If you don't consult a doctor in time to correct it, it may affect your child's study, interpersonal relationship and self-personality.

The prevalence of ADHD in children is about 5- 10%, which is more common in school-age children, accounting for about 1- 10% of all primary school students. There are more boys than girls, and there are more premature babies than ordinary full-term babies. At present, the diagnosis of ADHD in children can be divided into three aspects, namely neurophysiological examination, behavioral examination and psychological test; When the child has some manifestations such as hyperactivity or inattention, it must be clearly identified. Don't easily draw the conclusion that the child has ADHD, or even go to the hospital in a hurry.

Key judgment methods of ADHD in children

(1) hyperactivity: most of them started after children entered school in the early stage, with obvious characteristics. They kept fidgeting in class, touched everything they could, talked a lot, loved to provoke, often fought with classmates or often engaged in activities that were harmful to health without considering the possible consequences (without seeking excitement).

(2) inattention: If you don't concentrate in class, you will be curious about the stimulation from all directions.

(3) Emotional instability: If you are impulsive and willful, you will make a hullabaloo about for no reason, often others will rush to answer questions before they finish, or you will be impatient and not do things as required.

(4) Learning difficulties: The child's intelligence is normal, but due to hyperactivity, it will affect the learning progress. The course of the disease generally begins before the age of 7 and lasts for more than 6 months.

It is found that the regional cerebral blood flow in ADHD children is abnormal, and the more serious the behavioral symptoms such as hyperactivity or impulsiveness, the less the blood perfusion in frontal lobe and parietal lobe, and the less the striatum perfusion. When performing the same cognitive task, the activities in specific brain regions of ADHD children are also different from those of normal children. Active, imitative and imaginative are the psychological characteristics of children different from adults, and they are often just out of curiosity. Therefore, for children suspected of ADHD, it is advisable to educate them patiently first, and parents should not casually say that their children have ADHD, which will affect their intellectual development and increase their mental burden.

So far, it is not clear what causes ADHD in children, which may be related to the following factors:

(5) the influence of social family or psychological factors, such as bad social environment or family conditions (family breakdown, economic poverty, crowded housing or parents' bad personality, alcoholism, drug abuse or mental illness, etc. ) can be the cause of the disease and affect the development and prognosis of the disease.

(6) Healthy nutritional factors, such as vitamin deficiency, food allergy, food seasoning or artificial coloring, may make children susceptible to ADHD.

If the auxiliary treatment of ADHD is neglected, it will be difficult for children to adapt to society when they grow up, and their personality will be easily distorted and go astray; Anxiety, personality disorder, interpersonal tension, lack of sense of accomplishment or poor socio-economic conditions may occur, so treatment must be carried out and must not be taken lightly. At present, there are two ways for families to carry out self-improvement treatment:

Behavioral therapy:

Take children to participate in appropriate cognitive activities to improve their attention and memory; Secondly, through specific training, such as books, videos or storytelling, children's bad behavior can be corrected ideologically. When children's behavior tends to be good, they should be affirmed and praised in time to enhance their self-confidence, and educate them to avoid bad practices such as satire, criticism or abuse.

Psychotherapy:

Parents, teachers and classmates should give ADHD children understanding, warmth and care, so that children have the confidence to overcome difficulties, adhere to treatment and overcome psychological barriers. ADHD doesn't heal itself. 70% of patients' symptoms will last until adolescence, and 30% will last until adulthood, even for life. The key to the healthy growth of ADHD children lies in early detection, early diagnosis, early intervention and early training.
