Jumping with both feet in rope skipping can be divided into two categories: jumping with both feet together and jumping with both feet alternately. Some data suggest that the elderly and obese people use both feet when skipping rope to reduce the impact, which is wrong. When both feet take off, all muscles of the human body are in a state of tension. The cushion of landing depends entirely on the muscles at the back of the calf, and the muscles of the thigh can't participate in the cushion. In the whole process of skipping rope, the muscles can't rest basically, so that after jumping for hundreds of laps, they will be breathless and weak. The correct way to jump should be to step on the ground with your feet alternately, with your chest slightly forward and your knees slightly bent. One foot touches the ground, the other foot rests, and the movement is slow and light. Before skipping rope, the soles of your feet hit the ground, and the jumping height is just the height that the rope can pass under your feet, emphasizing "low jump".
Don't jump too fast when practicing skipping rope. First of all, you should build up your confidence, not too fast, just keep it at 100 ~ 150 rpm/1 min. If you make a mistake halfway, keep dancing as much as possible until you feel tired. A few elderly friends around me, practicing according to my method, can jump more than 3500 turns in a short year. I'm sure you can do the same.
