Winsxs- what folder is it?
The operating environment of this tutorial: windows7 system and Dell G3 computer.

Winsxs is a very important folder in the Windows directory of Win 7. There are many important components in this folder, and the version is also very complicated. In order to ensure the normal operation of Windows, the files in it cannot be deleted. These folders support mscorwks.dll, and nmscorwks cannot be loaded without them. If you forcibly delete it, you may only be able to barely enter Windows in safe mode, and Windows will "hang up".

Extended data:

The Winsxs folder cannot be deleted directly, but there are some ways to slim it down.

Method 1:

1, download a PE tool disk image from the Internet at will, then make it into a system started by U disk, start the computer with U disk, and then delete the unused files.

2. Buy a CD of D version of Ghost system, usually PE system. After starting the PE system, delete the unused files on the hard disk.

3. Adjust the size of the original C disk with the lossless partition tool of hard disk. However, it is best to use the software on the PE tool disk to deal with this, and don't install it under Win7 to prevent the system from crashing when something goes wrong.

Method 2:

1. First download, decompress and optimize winsxs folder software (such as Dism++).

2. After opening, you can see the programs with 32 bits and 64 bits. Don't make mistakes.

3. Default option: The cleaning of WinSxS temporary files is a major feature of this software.

4. Items that are checked by default (suggested to be deleted) can be cleared.

5. After selecting the cleaning item, click the Scan button in the lower right corner.

6. If it has never been cleaned, it will be a long process, waiting patiently for the scanning results.

7. After confirmation, click Clean. Finally, the empty space capacity will be displayed.
