The 3rd China Dance "Lotus Award" was held in Kunming, Yunnan from April 28th to May 8th, 2002, which started with the mass square dance carnival of China folk dance, the ribbon-cutting of the dance art fair and the first China Golden Lotus International Friendship Cup Competition for foreigners. On May 18, the third China Lotus Dance Awards (solo dance, duet dance and threesome dance) ended.

The 3rd China Dance "Lotus Award" is divided into folk dance, classical dance, ballet, modern dance, modern dance, national standard dance and other mass dances, which concentrated on the outstanding dances that have been deeply loved by the audience for many years and won awards, among which the representative works include nearly 100 works such as Soul of a Sparrow, Soul of the Yellow River, Top Bowl Dance, Stream, River and Sea. At the same time, the most authoritative and professional third China Dance Lotus Award Competition was held. * * * 87 programs from all over the country entered the contest. After five days of fierce competition, a jury composed of experts awarded nearly 30 gold, silver and bronze awards. On our art stage, a large number of new works by new people have appeared.
