Today, I am reading a review of photoaging in Nature. It says that when white skin and black skin are exposed to the same sunlight, the loss of genetic material of keratinocytes at the grassroots level of black skin is less, while white skin is not protected by melanin. Ultraviolet rays do great harm to cells, leading to a series of biological reactions, in which elastic fibers and collagen are very denatured. After denaturation of elastic fibers and collagen, the skin obviously lacks moisture, loses elasticity and wrinkles. This may be one of the reasons why black people do not look old. (at least from the face)
