The fat content of whole milk is about 3%, the low-fat milk (semi-skimmed milk) contains 1.0- 1.5%, and the whole skimmed milk contains 0.5%.
In other words, if you drink a bag of 250g (243ml) of whole milk every day, you will consume 7.5g of fat. For the vast majority of consumers in well-off families, the daily intake of fat is above 75g, and the proportion of fat in milk is only 10% a day, which is not high.
Drinking skills
Regarding the fat in milk, Associate Professor Fan Zhihong from College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering of China Agricultural University pointed out that it should be treated with a normal heart. "In fact, drinking a cup of whole milk can only get about 7.5 grams of fat, while eating 100 grams of lean pork will get 20 grams of fat; Add a little more oil when cooking, and a dish will have more than 10 grams of fat.
Therefore, it is not an effective way to reduce dietary fat by drinking low-fat milk. At present, the milk sold in the market is classified according to the fat content, mainly including low-fat milk, skim milk and ordinary milk. Ordinary milk contains about 3.8% fat, low-fat milk contains about half of fresh ordinary milk, and skim milk contains less than 1% fat.
