Method/Step 2 Modify the built-in program
1
Put the program to be added (usually a portable application) where you want it.
Browse the unzipped folder, find the software to be deleted, and delete it.
Next, the most important thing is to find the configuration file. To ensure that the configuration file is found, please put the folder option (file extension is ini) in \Windows\system32 and search directly. Ini files, and then open them one by one with notepad. Common file names are pe.ini and winpe.ini
Note: To ensure that the configuration file can be found, uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" and "Show extensions of known file types" in the folder options, and select "Show hidden files, folders and drives".

The explanation is as follows:
Take Link% Programs% \ Attachment \ Notepad, %CurDir%\notepad.exe as an example.
Links: creating shortcuts
%Programs%\ attachment \: the target of the shortcut.
Notepad: the name of the software shortcut display.
%CurDir%\notepad.exe: the location of the software.
Notepad.exe: the name of the software.
The whole sentence means; Create a shortcut for notepad.exe under \Windows\system32 under the start menu attachment, and the display name is Notepad.

Browse the external program folder, find the software to be deleted, and delete it.
The next most important thing is to find the configuration file, which is usually placed in the external program folder (the file extension is ini), and its properties are usually hidden. My PE external program is in the PETOOLS folder. Modify the configuration file as described above.

The next step is the replacement of files! Replace the metafile with the modified file and repackage it.
