The compound machine is developed from the boom machine, which combines the characteristics of turntable and boom. The movable arm is equipped with a turntable. Because the compound machine can increase the speed by increasing the number of movable arms, it has great flexibility, so its development prospect is promising. For example, Siemens' latest HS50 machine is equipped with four such rotating heads, and the mounting speed can reach 50,000 pieces per hour.

Compound, turntable, large parallel mounter belongs to high-speed device system, and is usually used for small chip components. The turntable machine is also called "chip shooter" because it is usually used to assemble chip resistors and capacitors. Other such machines have the ability to shoot at high speed. Because the accuracy of passive components, "chips" and other lead elements is not high, the assembly of the filming machine can achieve high productivity. Because the layout of the high-speed machine is much messy and the quotation is much higher than that of the ordinary boom machine, this should be taken into account when selecting the equipment.
