In fact, the navel needs our attention, not only because it is the starting point of life, but more importantly, there is a very important acupoint at the navel-Shenque point.
The navel is the key contact point between nature and nurture, and the core of the congenital meridian system. Without a navel, life would cease to exist.
Chinese medicine has long said that navel is the foundation of five internal organs. Moreover, it is considered that Shenque point is the hub for regulating viscera and balancing qi, blood, yin and yang, and also has a very good health care function.
We can also know the qi and blood status of human viscera by detecting the navel, and we can clearly know whether the spleen and stomach are healthy just by squeezing the navel.
When we squeeze the part directly above the navel with our hands, if there is pain and the stomach feels full at the same time, it is the stagnation of qi in the stomach, the qi and blood in the stomach meridian are blocked, and even some people will have symptoms such as reduced diet, belching and abdominal pain.
When our hands squeeze the navel at the same time, if there is pain around the navel, it is a sign of slow gastrointestinal peristalsis. Insufficient qi and blood in the stomach will naturally lead to abdominal pain, bloating, belching, pantothenic acid, and even nausea and vomiting. Some people will also have diarrhea and constipation alternately.
If not treated in time, it is easy to cause gastrointestinal spasm or gastrointestinal inflammation.
When we squeeze the navel with our fingers, we feel water, which indicates that the spleen has abnormal function in regulating water and liquid metabolism. If we don't pay attention to and improve for a long time, our body's "waterway" will be blocked, which will stop the accumulation of water and dampness, cause dampness to block the spleen, and thus lead to the formation of water and dampness and phlegm and blood stasis.
When we squeeze the navel, if we feel a lump on the upper left of the navel or around the navel, it is a phenomenon that the spleen and stomach or intestinal qi and blood stagnate and the meridians are blocked.
Some people may still feel angry, or make noise, or feel something rolling, and these phenomena appear. I suggest going to the hospital for treatment in time.
Because the navel skin is thin and sunken, there is no subcutaneous tissue, and the skin is directly connected with fascia and peritoneum, which is very vulnerable to cold pathogens.
So the maintenance of navel must be warm. Warming navel can achieve the effects of harmonizing spleen and stomach, invigorating qi and nourishing blood, dredging meridians and delaying aging.
The methods we often adopt are massage and moxibustion. Massage is relatively simple and moxibustion is the most effective.
Massage navel method is:
Rub your hands first, then put your left hand on your right hand, and press the palm of your right hand on the upper side of your navel 60 times clockwise and 60 times counterclockwise. You can also massage repeatedly. Massage must be hard and gentle, with a slight heat sensation in the abdomen and no obvious discomfort.
Then take the navel as the center and gradually expand the massage scope to the whole abdomen.
When it is extended to the whole abdomen, the pressure exerted by the palm of your hand can be appropriately small to produce a sense of heat. If you are a person with normal defecation, you can press it clockwise and counterclockwise for 60 times.
If the stomach fire is too strong, or people with constipation press 180 200 times clockwise. If you have a bad temper or diarrhea, press 180 200 times counterclockwise.
When massaging the navel, it is best to do it in the morning or before going to bed at night.
What needs to be reminded here is that people suffering from acute inflammation of gastrointestinal tract, malignant tumor or skin trauma cannot massage navel in this way.
Moxibustion is also a common method to warm the navel. You can lie on your back, bend your knees, light one end of the moxa stick, place it 2 ~ 3cm away from the navel, and continue moxibustion for 20 ~ 30 minutes.
The Analects of Confucius also mentioned a method of salt-separated moxibustion. First fill the navel hole with pure white dry edible salt, then cover it with a layer of ginger, and then start moxibustion.
Salt-separated moxibustion is more suitable for autumn, winter and spring, while summer belongs to fire in the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine, and moxibustion also belongs to fire, so moxibustion in summer is easy to cause stomach viscera to get angry.
In addition, in addition to these two moxibustion methods, there is also a "medicine cake" moxibustion method.
Prepare Ginseng Radix, Atractylodis Rhizoma, Poria, and Glycyrrhrizae Radix, mix the same amount, and grind into powder. After that, add proper amount of flour and water into the powder, make a round cake with a thickness of about half a centimeter and a diameter of two centimeters, and put it in the shade to dry.
When preparing for moxibustion, take a medicine cake, puncture several holes in the medicine cake with a needle, and put it on the navel to perform moxibustion.
These four medicines have very good effects of invigorating qi and blood, invigorating spleen and regulating stomach, and can effectively treat diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, dyspepsia, fatigue and fatigue caused by spleen deficiency.
