Weinan is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation, known as the root of China, the source of culture, the hometown of three saints and the hometown of generals. Weinan is located in the eastern part of Guanzhong Plain and the eastern part of Shaanxi Province, with Weihe River as the axis, forming five landform types: north and south mountains, two tablelands and plain in the middle, belonging to temperate monsoon climate.
Weinan is bordered by the Yellow River in the east, Yuncheng in Shanxi and Sanmenxia in Henan, xi and Xianyang in the west, Qinling and Shangluo in the south, and Yan 'an and Tongchuan in the north by Qiao Shan. It is 60 kilometers away from the ancient city of Xi and 80 kilometers away from Xianyang International Airport.

By 2022, the city's total area will be 13030 square kilometers, Weinan will be under the jurisdiction of Lin Wei and Huazhou, seven counties of Tongguan, Dali, Heyang, Chengcheng, Baishui, Pucheng and Fuping, two provincial cities of Hancheng and Huayin, and * *108 towns and 28 towns.
