There are also some small bridges paved with wooden boards in the stockade. Walking on them will make a "creak, creak" sound, which is really like playing a beautiful tune, relaxed and pleasant. After a bumpy journey of 16 hours, we finally arrived in Kaili City, Guizhou Province. The tour guide led us on a bus, and the bus began to drive along the streets of Kaili city to the depths of the mountains.
The place the tour guide will take us to is Xijiang Town, where there are more than 1200 Miao people. Kaili Railway Station is 36 kilometers from Xijiang Town. Along the way, I saw that the houses on both sides of the road were a bit special. There is something that looks like a corner in the center of the top of each house, and the corners of the house are also bent upward. Miao people believe in cow totem, and when building a house, they will build a big horn with bluestone in the center of the roof.
As we go forward, there are fewer and fewer people. The car entered the hinterland of the mountain, and gradually you could see some wooden houses halfway up the mountain. These houses are built with stones and supported by wooden columns. Seen from a distance, these houses seem to be hanging on them. This is the diaojiao building where Miao people live. According to the tour guide, because all ethnic minorities live by mountains and rivers, Miao people like to live by mountains, so their houses are built by mountains and trees, while Buyi people live by water and live in stone houses, so there is a saying that "Miao people love mountains and Buyi people live in love the water". Diaojiaolou is surrounded by terraced fields, which is the land on which the Miao people live.
At nine o'clock in the morning, we finally arrived at our destination-Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village.
When we get to Miao village, we can't help watching Miao songs and dances. Came to Lusheng field, the performance has just begun. The actors are all local young men and women. They are wearing all kinds of bright clothes. The silver crowns on the girls' heads sparkled and danced in the sun, and the silver ornaments on their bodies were "sand, sand". On the stage, they welcomed our guests from afar with beautiful dances and loud songs.
Miao people love singing and dancing because of their lack of cultural life. A long time ago, Miao people lived a primitive life, lacking in material and spirit. After a day's work, the Miao people are exhausted. In order to eliminate fatigue, they use local materials, play songs on leaves, and improvise on benches to express their yearning for a better life. Later, it gradually evolved into a unique Miao culture, and playing Lusheng is one of them. There is a saying in the Miao nationality that "if you can't play lusheng, you are not a Miao nationality".
When I arrived in Miao village, I couldn't help eating Miao family meals. According to Miao custom, guests should drink croissant before entering the door. Two little girls from the host's family stood at the door, one with a trumpet and the other with a hip flask, singing "Please welcome, guests from afar" in Miao language. When I entered the room, rows of long tables were filled with various dishes, such as Miao-flavored sour soup fish, pounded meat, smoked sausage, fried bacon with broken ears, and various cold dishes. Halfway through the meal, two girls from the host family began to propose a toast to us. Before coming, the tour guide told us that if we can't drink, we should gently touch the edge of the bowl with our lips instead of holding it with our hands, otherwise we should drink it, and the result will be to fill you bowl by bowl.
At night, every household in Miao village is brightly lit. From a distance, the whole Miao village is hidden in small lights, like stars in the sky, adding a touch of bright color to this beautiful cottage.
