At this time, you can see in the layer panel that the new defect repair layer is located above the original portrait layer, and it is displayed in blue as the current operation object, so that the current operation will be applied to the defect layer, but the original layer will not be changed. 5. Next, select the spot repair brush tool in the toolbar. 6. After selecting the stain repair brush tool, click the repair mode in the setting bar as content recognition. Content recognition is the first new stain repair function in PhotoshopCS5, which can make the stain repair effect of defective parts better. Seven, click on the defect position with the stain repair brush, and you can replace the defect image with the image around the defect position. If a person has a big red spot on his forehead, it may be acne or mosquito bag. Here we need to control the repair range and sampling range by setting the brush size. Sixteen, the following will use Gao Fancha retention filter for skin softening. Select filter >: other > Gao Fancha reservation. Seventeen, in the process of image sharpening, Gao Fancha-preserving filter will detect the edge and enhance the contrast effect to achieve the purpose of sharpening, but it will not affect the skin. We need to do the opposite. Gao Fancha hold filter is used to detect the edge, and the edge is not softened. In the Gao Fancha color filter settings panel, the radius refers to the setting value that controls the edge width. In other words, after Photoshop detects the edge, the radius determines how many attachment pixels the edge contains. Small radius will detect small edges, but we can only soften the areas outside the edges, so the more edges detected, the better, because the application of softening effect is more accurate. In this case, the radius is set to 24 pixels. 18. If your photo has a low resolution or a far field of view, it will be better to set a small radius. Here you can try to set the radius to 18 pixels or 12 pixels, depending on the characteristics of the image itself. Why should we focus on the setting value of radius here? Because if the selected number is a multiple of 3, it will be helpful for the next step. For example, 24/ 18/ 12 can be divisible by 3. Click OK to close the Gao Fancha filtering settings. At this time, the image will become a little gray, which means that the filter has not detected the edge, and the edge is now displayed in the form of high contrast. Nineteen. Next, add Gaussian blur filter effect to Gao Fancha's reserved filter effect. You may think this effect is not good, but it will actually bring excellent skin effect. Select Filter >: Blur >; Gaussian blur ". 20. Just as Gao Fancha keeps the filter setting, here we need to set the radius of Gaussian blur filter. The radius value here is preferably set to 1/3 of the radius value of the Gao Fancha hold filter, that is, 8 pixels. 2 1. Click OK to close the window. After adding the Gaussian blur filter, the Gao Fancha-preserving filter looks softer and has less details. 22. Set the blending mode of the skin softening layer to linear light, and blend the Gao Fancha-preserving filter effect into the image. Twenty-four, if you just want to over-sharpen the image, it's done now. If you want to continue to soften the skin, you must continue the following steps. The key to using Gao Fancha retention filter as softening rather than sharpening is to reverse the layer. Select "image >; New adjustment layer > reverse ",or press Ctrl+I(Win)/Command+I(Mac). Twenty-five, after the layer inversion, the image will change from over-sharpening to blurred image. 26. To reduce the blur effect, click the button on the layer panel in the figure below. Twenty-seven, in the pop-up menu, click to choose the mixing option. 28. In the open dialog box of mixing options, you can see that there are two pairs of sliders at the bottom, one is to adjust this layer, and the other is to adjust the next layer. Through these two pairs of sliders, you can adjust the blending effect of the currently selected layer and the layer below. You need to adjust the skin softening layer here, so don't worry about it below. 29. There is a slider at both ends of the gradient area, the rightmost one is the bright part of the control image, and the leftmost one is the dark part of the control image. The slider looks like a whole, but it can actually be divided into two halves and moved separately. If you just click one of the sliders to move, it will produce a very obvious and rough transition effect. If you slide the slider separately, it will produce a slightly smooth effect. First, reduce the glare, press Alt(Win)/Option(Mac) to click on the slider on the far right, and then move to the left. Pressing Alt(Win)/Option(Mac) allows Photoshop to separate the slider to be moved to form a smooth transition effect. As the bright slider moves to the left, the bright halo effect gradually disappears. Pull to the left as far as possible to eliminate the halo effect. 31. After moving the slider on the right half to the left, the fuzzy effect of bright light gradually disappears to be inconspicuous until the fuzzy halo effect of black still exists. 32. Press Alt(Win)/Option(Mac), drag half of the slider to the left and move it to the right to remove the black blur at the end. Thirty-three, after the adjustment is completed, click OK to close the mixing options dialog box. Now the skin looks much softer. 34. Through the above operation, the skin is softened, but the eyes, lips, hair and other positions of the portrait are softened, and the redundant softening effect needs to be covered below. Press Alt(Win)/Option(Mac) and click the add mask/button in the layers panel. 35. The layer mask we added is white by default, but press Alt(Win)/Option(Mac) to add layer mask, and Photoshop will automatically add a black layer mask to cover up the softening effect of the whole layer. 36. Select the brush tool to show the softening effect of the skin part. 37. To show the softening effect, you need to use a white brush. Photoshop automatically uses the current foreground color as the brush color, so you need to adjust the foreground color to white. You can see the foreground color and background color near the toolbar conversion button. If it is not white, you can press d to reset the color to white.
