Nutritional point of view: Anthocyanin helps to prevent fat production, but is the anthocyanin content in black bean water sufficient?
The US Food and Drug Administration consulted Jane Wen Yi, an associate professor in the Department of Health and Nutrition of Taipei Medical College, and mentioned that in some cell and animal experiments, the intake of black beans rich in anthocyanins can reduce the activity of lipogenesis and the risk of obesity, improve abdominal fat accumulation, increase energy metabolism and lose weight. According to human research, the intake of black bean extract combined with a diet high in fiber and low in cholesterol has a positive effect on preventing abdominal obesity.
However, for the components of black bean water, there is no research to verify how much anthocyanin it contains, or other effective components that are beneficial to weight loss; Even if the black bean water is rich in potassium ions, the weight loss effect is quite limited, and more research is needed to prove it.
It is found that the intake of black bean extract combined with high fiber and low cholesterol diet has a positive effect on preventing abdominal obesity. Traditional Chinese medicine point of view: drinking black bean water to help lose weight is not as effective as eating black beans directly!
From the perspective of Chinese medicine, Dr. Wu Jiandong bluntly said: "Drinking water can lose weight! He said that although black bean water has diuretic, dampness-eliminating and edema-eliminating effects, its practical application in human body not only has a limited effect on eliminating edema, but also has a "drop in the bucket" effect on weight loss. And "eliminating edema" and "reducing body fat" are two different things. Even if drinking black beans can improve edema obesity, it does not mean that it can overcome excess fat in the body.
