Morphological characteristics of Eupatorium odoratum
Monkey-faced orchids are epiphytic orchids with short stolons, 30-40 cm high and thick hollow stems. Leaves alternate and opposite, broadly ovate. Take root in a knot. Wide oval, almost equal in length and width, slightly narrower at the upper part. Leaves obovate-lanceolate. Sparse racemes with opposite axillary flowers, funnel-shaped, yellow, usually with purple patches or spots. Pedicels grow from the base, calyx petals and petals form three petals, with a lip in the middle. Petals are particularly like little monkeys, so they are also called monkey-faced orchids, which are very cute.
Growth habit of Eupatorium odoratum
Eupatorium odoratum needs a cool growth environment, and it is afraid of extreme heat, which makes it difficult to spend the summer and is not resistant to frost and cold. 10-25 is the suitable culture temperature. In warmer areas in the south, it can be placed in outdoor semi-shady places or cultivated in plastic greenhouses all the year round. In the Yangtze River basin or the northern region, medium and high temperature greenhouse cultivation should be adopted. In late autumn, winter and early spring, the temperature is not very high, so direct sunlight can be used to help plants form flower buds, blossom and bear fruit. In case of hot weather or summer, the humidity should be increased and covered with a sunshade net to cool down, and the temperature below 10 should be kept warm.
The main value of Eupatorium odoratum
Cymbidium hybridum has strong branching, large flowers, rich colors, good humidity resistance and strong negative resistance. Used for potted plants, hanging pots or hanging blue plants. Very suitable for green decoration of room windows, balcony walls, commercial building windows, exhibition hall entrances, etc. It is full of energy, natural and relaxed.
